OSRS Runecrafting runs on two kinds of servers- the free-to-play one and the pay-to-play one. Both have similar yet different playing guides, which have been discussed in detail below.
Level wise ‘Free to Play OSRS Runecrafting Guide
Runes-
- Air Rune
You can start off by making Air Runes. This takes place between levels 1 to 9, experience needed to start Runecrafting Air Runes is 969 overall experience points. Air Runes can be crafted by 194 pure or rune essences and this has to take place in the Air Altar found at Falador. - Earth Rune
Once you have reached level 9 and gained an experience of 1138 experience points, you can start making Earth Runes. This takes place between levels 9 to 14. Earth Runes can be crafted by 176 pure or rune essences and this has to take place in the Earth Altar found at Varrock. - Fire Rune
Level 14 is when you unlock the making of Fire Rune. This takes place between levels 14 to 20, with an overall experience point of 2363. Fire Runes can be crafted by 338 pure or rune essences and this has to take place in the Fire Altar found at Duel Arena. - Body Rune
At level 20 you unlock the Body Rune. This takes place between levels 20 to 99, with an overall experience point of 13029961. Fire Runes can be crafted by 1737329 pure or rune essences and this has to take place in the Body Altar.
Tiaras-
- Body Tiara
347585 Body Tiaras can be produced between levels 1 to 99. A Body Tiara is produced at the Body Altar, which requires a tiara and a Body Talisman each. - Earth Tiara
401060 Earth Tiaras can be produced between levels 1 to 99. An Earth Tiara is produced at the Earth Altar, which requires a tiara and an Earth Talisman each. - Water Tiara
434333 Water Tiaras can be produced between levels 1 to 99. A Water Tiara is produced at the Water Altar, which requires a tiara and a Water Talisman each. - Air Tiara
Air Tiaras can be produced by Air Talismans which are to be found in the Rune Mysteries Quest. Therefore the player has to complete the Rune Mysteries Quest before producing Air Tiaras.

Runes-
- Air Rune

- Steam Rune
Steam Rune is a combination of a Fire Rune and Water Rune. Crafting a Steam Rune starts at levels 19 to 23. Steam Rune can be crafted by either Water Rune and Talisman or Fire Rune and Talisman with pure essence. - Lava Rune
Lava Rune is a combination of a Fire Rune and Earth Rune. Crafting a Lava Rune starts at levels 23 to 99. Lava Rune can be crafted by either Earth Rune and Talisman or Fire Rune and Talisman with pure essence. - Blood Rune
Crafting Runes at Arceuus starts with crafting Blood Runes. This takes place between levels 77 and 99. An overall 158475 Blood Runes are crafted within these levels. Blood Runes are crafted to cast spells. Each Blood rune is crafted by a single dark essence fragment. - Soul Rune
At level 90 you can start crafting Soul Runes, up till level 99. An overall 253107 Soul Runes are crafted within these levels. Soul Runes are also crafted to cast spells. Each Soul rune is crafted by a single dark essence fragment. - Mud Rune
Mud Rune is a combination of a Water Rune and Earth Rune. Crafting a Mud Rune starts at levels 13 to 99. Mud Rune can be crafted by either Earth Rune and Talisman or Water Rune and Talisman with pure essence. - Double Cosmic Rune
From level 59 you can start crafting Cosmic Runes. These Runes are used to cast enchanted spells. With every pure essence, you can craft two Cosmic Runes, making it a Double Cosmic Rune. - Double Astral Rune
From level 40 you can start crafting Astral Runes, but it’s profitable to craft them from level 82. With every pure essence, you can craft two Astral Runes, making it a Double Astral Rune. - Double Nature Rune
From level 44 you can start crafting Nature Runes, but it’s profitable to craft them from level 91. With every pure essence, you can craft two Nature Runes, making it a Double Nature Rune. - Double Law Rune
From level 54 you can start crafting Law Runes, but it’s profitable to craft them from level 95. These Runes are used to cast teleportation spells. With every pure essence, you can craft two Law Runes, making it Double Law Rune.
Wrath Rune
The highest level Rune available in Oldschool Runescape is the Wrath Rune. These Runes are used to cast Surge spells. You can start crafting Wrath Runes from level 95. Wrath Runes are to be crafted at the Wrath Altar with pure essence.
